Nathan Pollak is the founder of Scidan Consulting Group and a senior advisor specializing in energy sector restructuring, catastrophic risk, regulatory proceedings, and disaster recovery. He is routinely engaged by utilities, governments, investors, and boards during periods of financial distress, regulatory intervention, or operational crisis.

Mr. Pollak has advised on some of the most consequential utility restructurings and wildfire liability matters of the past decade. He served as Energy Advisor to the Governor of California during the PG&E Chapter 11 restructuring, supporting development of the $21 billion California Wildfire Fund, and as lead managerial advisor to the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority during its Title III restructuring and post-hurricane recovery. He continues to advise the California Earthquake Authority in its role as Administrator of the California Wildfire Fund and has provided testimony before the California State Senate and the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada on wildfire liability and insurance matters.

His practice focuses on high-consequence engagements involving wildfire risk, disaster response, and the financial and operational stabilization of regulated utilities and energy-sector assets. Mr. Pollak is a decorated United States Marine Corps veteran with a combat tour in Iraq.
